Seema Sabnani is a yoga instructor, social justice trainer, educator and artist. Born in India and making her home in Brooklyn, Seema attributes her mom’s passion for seva as strong influence in her career choices. Seema has over 12 years of experience in non-profit program management, education, advocacy and the arts: Free Arts NYC, an organizer for CAAAV; South Asian Youth Action (SAYA!); Harlem Center for Education; and Sadhu Vaswani, a high school in New Delhi and Pune, India.
In addition to her current position as Teen Arts Program Manager at Free Arts NYC, Seema is also part-time faculty at the Sadie Nash Leadership Project. The improv collective will be performing this Saturday, July 13th at Project Reach, 39 Eldridge Street.
Seema has a B.A. in International Community Development from the University of Illinois, an M.A. in Teaching from Fordham University, and in 2010 received her Yoga Teacher Training certification from Finding Sukha, (200 RYT) in New York City
